From this point on…we, along with our allies, should push to have two (2) ballot initiatives placed in EVERY STATE for EVERY ELECTION:
- Allow Same-Sex Marriages
- Ban Divorce
Then the dialogue can begin. If they want to get into OUR business…then let’s get into THEIR business!
Allowing Same-Sex Marriage can only strengthen Marriage on the whole.
Allowing Same-Sex Marriage does NOT:
- mean that Gays & Lesbians will storm the churches demanding that their ceremonies be conducted
- provide for the insane insinuation that people will start marrying their dogs/cats/goats/pigs etc.
- mean that teachers will be required to promote same-sex discussions in the classroom
- harm your children in any way
- take away ANY rights you have as a hetero married couple
Allowing Same-Sex Marriage DOES:
- provide committed same-sex couples with the over 1,000 legal rights automatically granted with a Marriage License
- provide an economic stimulus with license fees, ceremony hall rentals, catering, gifts and honeymoon trips
- comply with “equality and justice for all”
Spread the word, Stand up, Raise your voices. Contact your legislative representatives and let them know that no citizen of the United States should be treated as a second-class citizen. Either we’re ALL citizens or NONE of us are.
Absolutely correct . The only way to make these values voters or Christian Conservatives see what they have done is wrong and un American and unconstitutional is to show them . Create a constitutional ballot measure to make divorce illegal and show them what it means to have rights stripped away from them . And if that isn’t enough we can create a ballot measure to take women’s rights away incrementally . What the hell , lets work to reverse all civil liberties and rights . If civil rights can be denied or reversed as easily as a ballot measure for uneducated and prejudiced people to vote on , then let’s put them all up for a vote .
